Omar Gonzalez, Senior Software Engineer in Blizzard, who has been for 16 years in the studio, remembers the launch. "We had a signing event in the regional Fry's Electronics, for the midnight launch.
I showed up a bit time before midnight and the line was beyond insane," Omar recalls. "I remember walking the line because it moved around the whole building. And this mywowgold was a warehouse sized construction. The line came back around the building for another time, moved around that, towards the back of the parking lot and went out on the street for blocks. This was the first time it struck me just how big it was going to be."
